The forming section rebuild at Sappi Somerset PM 3 with shoe blade technology improved formation and reduced filler two-sidedness. After the rebuild the use of expensive wet end and coating materials were significantly reduced.
The formation improvement and main project targets for cost savings were achieved earlier than planned.”
