Valmet handed over a new biomass boiler plant and flue gas treatment for RWE Innogy UK’s Markinch combined heat and power plant (CHP). The new plant helps Tullis Russell paper mill reduce its fossil fuel emissions and significantly contributes to Scotland’s ambitious renewable energy targets.
A fifteen percent capacity increase and more operating hours with only minor investments – this is the achievement of the energy company Mölndal Energi in Sweden. The company has greatly improved the production in their new biomass-fired boiler since it was supplied by Valmet in 2009.
Paper, board and tissue makers all have their own roll surface structures that they are used to having on their press section rolls. In many cases, those structures have been there from day one and may no longer be the most effective ones, taking into account advances in materials, felts and knowledge.
