Valmet's novel Sleeve roll technology awarded first prize at ATIP Innovation Contest

Valmet won this year's prestigious 'Palme d'Or' Innovation Award with its novel Sleeve roll technology and Valmet Sleeve Roll Belt. The award was given by the French Paper Industry Technical Association (ATIP). Valmet to supply automation to three waste-to-energy plants in Sungnam City, Korea

Valmet will supply a Valmet DNA Automation System to centrally run three waste-to-energy (WtE) plants in Sungnam City, Korea. The system will increase efficiency, optimize operating conditions, lower emissions and extend plant life cycle at the Pangyo waste incinerator as well as at the Sangdaewon waste and sludge incinerators, all owned by Sungnam City and run by its Resource Recirculation Division.

Valmet to supply profilers to Century Pulp and Paper in India

Valmet will supply Valmet IQ Induction Profiler and Valmet IQ Steam Profiler to Century Pulp and Paper (CPP) in Lalkuan, India. The new profilers will be installed on Paper Machine 3. The PM3 also has existing Valmet IQ Quality Control System (QCS) at reel. This investment is targeted to improve process performance and product quality. The installation of both profilers is scheduled by September 2020.
