Vaasa Water’s Pått wastewater treatment plant wanted their new centrifuge to operate fully automatically, which requires several continuous measurements. Nippon Steel Engineering, in Japan, wanted to increase the amount of dewatered sludge to the drying plant. With Valmet DS and Valmet HS their input moisture increased by 3.3% and the output moisture by 1%. At the same time, their fuel usage per moisture input was decreased by 5.5%.
