Valmet to supply solutions package to improve performance of Forestal y Papelera Concepción, Chile

Paper manufacturer, FPC Papeles, chose Valmet to supply a package to improve its process performance, focusing mainly on final product quality and paper machine runnability. The order was included in Valmet’s orders received during the fourth quarter of 2021.

The company visited Klabin's mill in Ortigueira, Brazil, to see the new board machine PM27, and check on site Valmet’s unique solution that combines process technologies, services, and automation. The collaboration between FPC and Valmet's experts made it possible to develop a customized offer to meet all the customer needs and expectations.

Information about Valmet’s delivery

The delivery includes a new shaker with remote monitoring, a Valmet Industrial Internet (VII) application, which will help improve sheet quality and shape, a new RF-3 refiner for stock preparation, web stabilizers and suction stabilizer boxes for the first two sets of dryers.

Furthermore, a new doctor and save-all (collecting tray) elements are added to improve the dewatering of the press and make the operation of the machine and the pressing system even more efficient.

FPC will also receive replacement rolls for its NTT Tissue machine, which will ensure better reliability and performance.

Additionally, with this order, an agreement for the supply of refiner segments was signed for the next two years
