Valmet to deliver an oxygen delignification system to The Navigator Company in Setúbal Portugal

Valmet is to deliver an Oxygen delignification to The Navigator Company in Setúbal Portugal. The upgrade will significantly enhance the performance of the existing pulp mill by reducing the chemical consumption in bleaching and lowering the emissions from the existing mill.

Technical details of the delivery
The delivery consists of a two-reactor oxygen delignification system, OxyTrac, with TwinRoll presses for washing. The delivery contains engineering, key machinery, auxiliary equipment, erection, and site services. Start-up is scheduled for end of 2025 and the system has a capacity of 550 000 adt/a.
