Valmet receives a repeat order for Valmet IQ quality control system for corrugator from Thai Containers corrugator plant, a subsidiary of SCGP in Thailand

Valmet will supply a Valmet IQ quality control system for corrugators to SCGP's corrugated board box plant in Navanakorn plant, Thailand. The system will enable the plant to improve corrugated board quality, reduce rejected paper caused by warped board and improve plant productivity. The start-up of the system is scheduled for the third quarter of 2022.
The order is included in Valmet's orders received for the fourth quarter of 2021. The value of the order will not be disclosed.
The order is a repeat order to SCGP, followed by a successful Valmet IQ quality control system at their Ratchaburi mill's 1920mm wide corrugator. The system was started up in late 2020, and since then, the plant's total productivity and corrugated board quality have been improved.

Technical details about Valmet's delivery
Valmet IQ quality control system for corrugator combines online moisture, temperature and warp measurements. It is used to control all corrugated board types to reduce sheet warping, improve bonding and thus maximize corrugated board box plant performance. The moisture level control of the final product plays an essential role in eliminating corrugated post-warping. The delivery to Thai Container consists of Valmet IQ Warp Measurement, Valmet IQ Moisturizer with three spraybooms and Valmet IQ Multipoint Moisture and Temperature Measurements, which are integrated together with automatic closed-loop controls.
