The Valmet DNA Integrated Operations solution was developed to meet the needs of the growing alternative fuels business, such as liquid natural gas (LNG), biogas and other biofuels. It suits all kinds of alternative fuel production plants, terminals and distribution sites. It enables filling stations as well as logistics and shipping companies to manage data, optimize sourcing and plan distribution efficiently.

Now available: Virtual Pipeline Distribution Information Management

To better and more cost-efficiently manage complex gas distribution outside the pipeline network with road or tank trucks, Valmet has developed a Virtual Pipeline Distribution Information Management solution. It is suitable for managing the distribution of LNG, compressed natural gas (CNG), biogas and other biofuels.

”Valmet’s Virtual Pipeline Distribution Information Management makes operations more transparent by using data collection tools and modern software technologies as opposed to traditional gas tank measurements. It sends, for example, gas-run-out forecasts to the terminal. Drivers receive this information on their mobile devices and are able to deliver gas optimally at the right time, resulting in accurate deliveries and lower transport costs,” says Mikko Haapaniemi, Product Manager, Integrated Operations, Automation, Valmet.

This pioneering management solution collects real-time data that can be seen whenever needed. Furthermore, it provides and suggests the needed actions to boost daily operations. Other benefits include better control of logistics and efficient logistics plans.

“Today’s cloud environments provide the customers with transparency and an experience of managing their pipelines. We have already received two industrial awards for our innovation,” Haapaniemi adds.
