Metso Paper has received an order from Domtar Industries for a dilution SymFlo AD headbox for their No. 61 paper machine in Ashdown, Arkansas. The new headbox will be delivered October 2006 for a machine start up in the last quarter of 2006.
No. 61 was originally supplied by Beloit in 1967 and today competes in the open, uncoated free sheet market. It has a wire width of 246" (6258 mm).
Domtar acquired the Ashdown mill from Georgia Pacific in 2001. The company is the second largest producer of uncoated free sheet in North America and the third largest in the world. It is also a leading manufacturer of printing, publishing, specialty and technical papers.
