Metso Paper to supply complete tissue machine to Lincoln Paper and Tissue

Metso Paper will supply a complete AdvantageTM DCT100 HS tissue machine to Lincoln Paper and Tissue of Lincoln, Maine, USA. The Metso order is valued at less than EUR 10 million.
The tissue machine will have a nominal trim width of 2.7 m (106 in.), a maximum operating speed of 6,560 ft/min (2000 m/min), and a daily production of 80 -100 tons of high-quality napkin, towel and bathroom tissue grades. The machine is scheduled to start production during the 3rd quarter of 2006.
Metso’s scope of delivery will comprise a complete tissue machine equipped with a SymFloTM TIS headbox, PERIFORMER Crescent forming section, a single press, a Metso Yankee cylinder, an AdvantageTM AirCap yankee hood, AdvantageTM Run sheet transfer technology and a reel section.
Lincoln Paper and Tissue is a leading U.S. manufacturer of high quality paper, tissue, and pulp products. Located in Lincoln, Maine, the company provides niche-market paper, tissue, and pulp products to quality-minded customers worldwide. Lincoln Paper and Tissue produces 140,000 t/year of bleached kraft pulp from hardwood and sawdust. Pulp is converted into 72,000 tons of paper, 36,000 tons of tissue and 30,000 tons of market pulp.
