Metso Paper to supply complete tissue machine to Laurel Hill, U.S.A.

Metso Paper will supply a complete Advantage DCT 100™ tissue machine to Laurel Hill Paper Co. of Cordova, North Carolina, in the U.S.A. The value of the order is not disclosed.
The tissue machine will have a nominal wire width of 2.7 m, an operating speed of 1600 m/min, and a daily production of 80…100 tons of high-quality towel and bathroom tissue grades. The machine is scheduled to start production during the second quarter of 2006.
Metso’s scope of delivery will comprise a complete tissue machine equipped with an HTB headbox, a single press, a 15-foot (dia.) Metso Yankee cylinder, a Metso yankee hood, sheet control, tail threading and a reel for winding on cores.
Laurel Hill Paper has been producing and converting tissue-type papers from 100% recycled furnish at their Cordova, North Carolina mill since 1985.
