Metso Paper supplies key machine sections to Nine Dragons Paper, China

Dong Guan Nine Dragons Paper Industries Company of China has chosen Metso Paper to deliver technology for its new board machine project PM 4 in Dong Guan, Guandong province. The machine is planned to start up in October 2003. The value of the order is not released.
The machine will produce 1220 mt/d of White Lined Chipboard (WLC) and Ivory Board. The trimmed width at reel is 5,650 mm.
Metso Paper is to deliver the forming section with four recently developed SymFlo headboxes, one of which is equipped with dilution control. The order also comprises a wire section with an MB-former, an OptiReel reel, a WinBelt winder and auxiliaries, including hydraulics and controls.
This is Dong Guan Nine Dragons Paper’s third board machine investment in the region since 1999. Metso Paper delivered the first two machines.
Nine Dragons started making containerboard materials in 1998. The company, together with its parent company, America Chung Nam of USA have, however, been working with the Chinese paper market for nearly 15 years, during which time the company has experienced very rapid growth. Presently, the production capacity of Guangdong mill is more than one million tons per year, making Dong Guan Nine Dragons Paper Asia’s largest supplier of containerboard materials.
