Metso Paper signs agreement with Boise

On February 13, 2002, Metso Paper signed a Preferred Primary Supplier Agreement with Boise, Jackson, Alabama, to supply the mill with new roll covers, roll conditioning products and preferred access to Metso Paper resources.

This agreement is the result of the open communication and trust that today exists between the two companies and includes Roll Covers and Repairs Business for both J-1 and J-3 Paper Machines at the Jackson facility. J-3 is a 380"-wide woodfree Valmet paper machine producing 500,000 tons/year.

The agreement was signed by Joey Blount, Financial Affairs Manager and Mark Smith, Purchasing Supervisor, of Boise's Jackson, Alabama mill and by Metso Paper Service's Charles Farmer, General Manager-Columbus Service Centre and Charles Golden- Team Leader South Region-Customer Interface Network. Richard Leggett- Metso's Regional Sales manager for the Jackson mill, Chris Smith-Product Sales Manager, and Joe Cook Product Manager-Columbus were also on-hand representing Metso Paper Service.
