Metso Paper -supplied UPM Jämsänkoski PM 6 sets new world speed record for SC paper

The Metso Paper -supplied PM 6 at UPM's Jämsänkoski mill in Finland has set a new world speed record for SC paper production. The machine reached a 24-hour record of 1,815 m/min (5,955 ft/min) on 16-17 September. The machine's runnability was good, as usual. The top speed during the period was 1,820 m/min.
Metso Paper supplied the machine in 1992 and modernized it extensively in 2005-2006.
The previous speed record for SC grades was 1,806 m/min, held by a machine supplied by Metso Paper in 1998.
