Jouko Yli-Kauppila appointed Senior Vice President, Technology, of Metso Paper

Jouko Yli-Kauppila has been appointed Senior Vice President, Technology, of Metso Paper, as of May 1, 2006. He brings a solid background of experience for this position, having held various posts in product development and technology management in Metso Paper during the years 1985-1999. Since 1999, he has been responsible for industrial property rights in Metso Corporation, and has also been responsible for environmental issues since last year.

Jouko Yli-Kauppila will be located in Jyväskylä, and will report to Risto Hautamäki, President of Metso Paper.

Until now, Heikki Ilvespää, Vice President, Technology, has held the above position in addition to his own duties. He will continue to be responsible for the technology development of the Paper and Board Business Line, and will report to Reima Kerttula, Managing Director of Rautpohja Paper and Board Machinery.
