Appointments in Valmet Corporation

Valmet Corporation’s Paper Technology and Rauma Corporation’s Sunds Defibrator have been merged, now forming Valmet Corporation, the Fiber and Paper Technology Business Area of Metso Corporation.

The following appointments have become effective at Valmet Corporation:

Paper Making Lines Strategic Business Line

Mr Bertel Karlstedt has been appointed President of the Paper Making Lines Strategic Business Line, and the Printing Paper Machines Business Unit, located in Jyväskylä, Finland.

The following appointments have been made at the Printing Paper Machines Strategic Business Unit

Sales and Marketing, Senior Vice President, Mr Pertti Soikkanen Projects and references, Senior Vice President, Mr Veli-Pekka Laukkanen Technology, Senior Vice President, Mr Reima Kerttula Foundries and Component Production, Senior Vice President, Mr Erkki Rytky Rautpohja Foundry, General Manager and Vice President, Mr Tapio Rantala Finance and Administration, Senior Vice President, Mr Kari Littunen Human Resources and Internal Communication, Senior Vice President, Ms Hilkka Alatalo-Korpi Information Management, General Manager, Mr Esa Taivassalo Quality and Environment, General Manager, Mr Paavo Jerkku

The above mentioned persons report to Mr Karlstedt, except Mr Rantala, who reports to Mr Rytky. They are all located in Jyväskylä, Finland.
