Mondi Ruzomberok PM 19 - Industrial Internet

Mondi Ružomberok started up a new containerboard machine in 2021 at their Ružomberok mill in Slovakia with support from Valmet. The mill is one of Mondi’s largest plants, and it is the biggest integrated pulp and paper mill in Slovakia.

To help Mondi start up both lines successfully, Valmet delivered the world’s first Virtual Paper Mill with interactive training modules and provided remote support for the start-up from the Valmet Performance Center. The delivery also included Valmet Advanced Process Controls (APC) with strength property optimization and on-demand expert support from the Valmet Performance Center. In addition, the customer has actively used Industrial Internet application Centerline Advisor to compare the current process status to the centerline of the best historical performance, in order to improve their performance.
