At Valmet, a significant effort is dedicated to understanding each customer’s history and journey over the course of decades, ensuring that the legacy and insights are shared with the next generations to serve the customer in the best possible way.
When I started at Valmet eleven years ago, I learned what it means to work for a truly global company. The spectrum of cultures represented by my colleagues and our customers was amazing and inspiring. And I am still impressed every day by the level and array of expertise that Valmeteers around the world demonstrate and offer our customers.
Another characteristic that could be concretely observed every day is the importance of building long-lasting relationships with our customers worldwide, on both a company and a personal level. A significant effort is dedicated to understanding each customer’s history and journey over the course of decades, ensuring that the legacy and insights are shared with the next generations to serve the customer in the best possible way.
In this issue of Forward magazine, we highlight the results of the long-term collaboration between Valmet and its customers, sharing success stories resulting from their mutual commitment to moving forward together.
Our recently retired executive, Jari Vähäpesola, is known for his strong commitment to customer success and his likable personality, which has earned him trust from customers around the globe. In this feature, Jari reflects on how to truly bring value to customers and emphasizes the key tactics of building enduring relationships. As Jari says, being a valuable partner involves effective communication on how things can be done better, showcasing expertise, and providing support to customers, especially during challenging times.
Let’s continue moving forward together in building relationships that last,
