Jun 17, 2022
The merger of Neles into Valmet brought together two companies with complementary offerings. Our unique offering is also key to improving production efficiencies and reducing environmental impact.
The flow control solutions provider Neles was merged into Valmet in April 2022. Valves, valve controls and services are now part of our offering. Thanks to the merger, we have an even stronger global team of around 17,000 professionals around the world, close to you.
Today, Valmet develops and supplies competitive and reliable process technologies, services and automation to the pulp, paper and energy industries. Following the merger, our automation offering consists of automation systems and flow control solutions that cover an even wider base of global process industries. We are committed to moving our customers’ performance forward with our unique offering and way to serve – every day.
Our unique offering is also key to improving production efficiencies and reducing environmental impact. Innovative technology, the right combination of services and automation for reliable production, raw material and energy efficiency, fossil-free energy sources and circularity – all help us fight against climate change. Valmet’s target is to enable carbon neutral board and paper production by 2030 at the latest.
In this issue, you can read about our offering for reducing CO2 emissions and other environmental impacts and how to convert your existing power plant to produce CO2 neutral energy. In addition, Jori Ringman, Director General of the European association representing the paper industry (Cepi), opens up why technological breakthroughs are critical in moving the entire industry toward carbon neutrality.
I wish you inspiring moments with this Forward magazine and its large number of customer reference cases as part of the journey towards even more sustainable pulp, paper and energy production.
