In some suction rolls, axial seals are situated on a movable deck which is loaded against the shell with loading hoses. This kind of arrangement is not ideal because moving the seals requires moving the entire deck assembly. The oscillating Suction Roll Upgrade Shell Flow H internal high-pressure cleaning shower can replace a traditional internal suction roll shell cleaning shower. Powerful shell cleaning from the inside out will oftentimes also remove the need for external shell cleaning showers. The new Suction Roll Upgrade Shell Flow H cleaning shower consumes much less water than traditional showers.

The effectiveness of a Shell Flow H upgrade is based on needle-like shower jets, high pressures and oscillating motion.

A flush-through function allows shower nozzles to be flushed while the roll is running. Its oscillation is based on a reliable pneumatic cylinder. Shells are typically washed during sheet breaks or shutdowns. If requested, it can also be set up for continuous shell cleaning. This upgrade is the perfect fit for ultimate shell cleanliness.

Individual seal loading upgrade for suction rolls

Malfunctions in the axial sealing of suction rolls can cause a sudden loss of vacuum. In a conventional sealing system, the seal hoses are controlled by one pressurized airline, so a failure in one hose will affect all the others.
