Aiken Roll Service Center Blood Drive: September 17th
On September 17th, the Aiken Roll Service Center teamed up with The Blood Connection to host a life-saving blood drive. Employees and residents turned out in full force, resulting in 25 registered donors and 19 successful units collected—enough to potentially save up to 57 lives!
Valmet is pleased to announce that another blood drive will be held at the Aiken Roll Service Center on November 13th, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. We encourage all employees, partners, and community members to participate and help make a difference once again.
Beloit Service Center Blood Drive: October 3rd
Building on the momentum from Aiken, the Beloit Service Center hosted its blood drive on October 3rd, in collaboration with the Rock River Valley Blood Center. Valmet's global social responsibility program
Valmet has expanded its global social responsibility program initiated in 2020 with new area-specific local projects around the world.
Valmet’s social responsibility program is part of the company’s sustainability agenda implementation. The program is based on three themes promoting science, nature and equal opportunities: ‘Towards the future with science’, ‘Protecting the planet for next generations’ and ‘Equal opportunities for wellbeing’.
Based on these themes, several local projects in Valmet’s operating areas around the world have been selected to the program. Valmet’s local personnel has participated in the planning and preparation of the projects, and the final selection has been made by employee voting.
