Valmet Enhances Hengan Group's TM 9 Tissue Machine with Advanced Web Guider Upgrade

Previously, the TM 9 team reported issues such as excessive paper web oscillation, uneven parent roll ends, and wavy defects during production. These problems led to significant losses and waste during rewinding and slitting. After receiving customer feedback, Valmet quickly responded by organizing a professional process team for on-site investigation. Through in-depth analysis, the root cause was identified as the abnormal performance and insufficient correction capability of the web guider, causing large oscillations in the forming fabric.

Customized solution

After thorough discussions with Hengan Group's engineering team and gaining their approval, a customized solution was developed. The new web guider provided by Valmet significantly improved the stability of the forming fabric, successfully resolving the previous issues.

The installation and commissioning of the new web guider were carried out smoothly, overseen by Hengan Group's electrical and instrumentation director. The upgrade led to stable machine operation, achieving the desired outcomes.
