PT. Riau Andalan Pulp & Paper signed a three years TwinRoll Repair Agreement with Valmet

The rolls vary in both size and metallurgy. In addition to this agreement, Valmet will provide a key component inventory of critical spares in order to reduce the repair cycle lead time. It will be complemented by one 1555 roll being placed on site to act as an emergency back-up whilst rolls are sent to our Valmet Technology Center for repair.

Scope of the Agreement

• Roll inspection, with comprehensive written reports emphasizing deviations that require additional attention
• List of recommended additional work and/or upgrades
• Roll repairs that meet OEM specifications
• Final acceptance reports
• Expedited delivery plan (fast-tracked turnaround time)
• Extended warranty period
• Access to our workshop that allows customers to witness the inspection, repair and upgrade processes.

A local presence and working closely with customer needs are of the utmost importance in ensuring prompt service when repairing this kind of equipment. Valmet recentlyestablished a new technology center in Cikarang, Indonesia, which provides this unique “local” workshop presence.This facility provides state-of-the-art tools, machinery and highly skilled technicians that carry out high-quality roll rebuilds and repairs to various fiber line equipment.
