From South America to North America: A Journey of Growth
Mateus brings a wealth of expertise and experience to his role at Valmet. Originally hailing from Valmet South America, where he served as a product sales manager for refiner segments, Mateus embarked on a transformative journey across continents to join the Valmet North America team. His move not only marked a significant step in his professional career but also involved personal adjustments and family considerations, all underscored by a commitment to excellence.
Innovating in Refining Technology
As an Application Engineer, Mateus is at the cutting edge of refining technology. His primary role involves understanding the needs of the Paper, Board, and Tissue (PSMS) and Mechanical Services and Mill Services (MSMS) teams, often derived from direct interactions with customers at the mills. Mateus delves into the challenges these teams face, striving for innovative solutions through modern designs, process improvements, and fresh approaches.
