Processing of Personal Data in Valmet’s GoToWebinar Platform
The data processed is controlled and processed by Valmet Oyj for maintaining and analyzing Valmet webinar audiences
This processing may be used for direct marketing in combination with data in Valmet’s CRM system. The legal basis for the processing is legitimate interests pursued by the controller which is maintaining customer and stakeholder relationships. In webinar registration, the data items processed always include person’s first name, last name and e-mail address. In registration, other additional information could also be asked, e.g. company name, address information, job title. The data will be accessed by relevant personnel within the Valmet group as well as data processors Valmet is using for supporting its business. The data may be transferred outside of the EU. EU Model Clauses are used as appropriate safeguards for the transfers to third countries which the EU commission has not listed as countries having adequate data protection. The data will be stored for a period it is needed for Valmet’s business purposes. Valmet will typically maintain customer and supplier relationship information for more than 10 years. Valmet will support the applicable data subject’s rights, including access to and rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing concerning the data subject or to object to processing including direct marketing. The data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (data protection authority).
