To ensure its paper machine roll reliability and availability, the Kerinci mill has entered a full-scope roll service agreement, including a condition monitoring system. Cooperation started in 2014 on consulting basis and extended in 2016 when PM 3 started up. Customer wanted Valmet to move from earlier advisory role to having real responsibility for roll maintenance and workshop operations.
We don’t need Valmet for changing the rolls. We have our own team for that. We need Valmet’s advice and experience to avoid unwanted surprises,”
