Sachtleben Pigments Oy is a producer of specialty pigments. Its production process requires sulphuric acid (H2SO4), which is produced in its own sulphuric acid plant. Producing sulphuric acid is a complex process. To operate at an optimum level, the acid concentration has to be kept at fixed pre-set values through continuous online measurements. The plant has relied on Kemotron technology since the mid-1990s.
