Metso's intelligent solenoid valves have been chosen by Daelim, a South Korean EPC company, to ensure highly reliable emergency shutdown (ESD) valve operation for over 600 safety-critical valves being used in the expansion project at Orpic's Sohar refinery in Oman.

Metso's wide valve offering and experience with pulp and paper processes brings major valve order for Stora Enso's mill project in Guangxi, China

Metso will supply altogether about one thousand valves for Stora Enso's consumer board machine project in Guangxi, China. To guarantee effective services for the new mill, Metso will also strengthen its service presence in the Guangxi area. The consumer board machine is part of Stora Enso's integrated mill project being implemented in two phases in China.

Metso selected as main supplier of valve solutions for Metsa Fibre's next-generation bioproduct mill to be built in Finland

Metso has signed a comprehensive framework agreement with Metsä Fibre to supply valve solutions for the world's first next-generation bioproduct mill in Äänekoski, Finland. Metso's valve solutions will be used in all of the mill's process phases. The delivery includes more than one thousand valves and peripheral devices and is one of Metso's largest valve orders in Finland. Metso also takes care of the spare part services for the mill.

Metso strengthens its position as a leading flow control supplier by establishing new valve service centers in Europe

Metso opens new service centers in Germany and France to support the company's strategy to grow its valve and field device service business and to strengthen its service capabilities for the petrochemical, energy, oil & gas, and pulp & paper industries. Since 2012, Metso has established ten new valve service centers around the world. By the end of 2014, the total number of Metso valve and field device service centers will exceed 40.
